The strongly correlated stopping of two point-like charges flowing in
close vicinity in an electron fluid confined to a plane is investigate
d within a RPA framework for the target material. A specific attention
is given to the stopping of diclusters randomly oriented with respect
to their overall constant drift velocity. Analytic expressions for th
e correlated energy loss are detailed at high and low projectile veloc
ities V. The ratio of correlated to uncorrelated stopping is shown ind
