Abstract
The 20-40 MeV linac (LA-20-40) of the YerPhI LTF which is under constr uction will supply up to I mA average current beams for the following types of investigations: Isotope production and neutron physics; New m ethods of particle acceleration; X-ray radiation and optics. The latte rs are devoted to the methods of intense 1-35 keV X-ray beam productio n using radiation of channeling particles (ChR), parametric X-ray radi ation (PXR) and resonant transition radiation (RTR) for scientific exp eriments, medical and technological applications. After short discussi on of the existing problems a status report on the LA-20-40, equipment and future plans of X-ray beam production and optics investigations a re presented.
