Abstract
A new regio- and stereoselective method for the synthesis of E-alkenyl chloralanes based on Cp2TiCl2-catalyzed hydroalumination of disubstitu ted acetylenes by diisobutylaluminum chloride was developed. Hydrolysi s and deuterolysis of organoaluminum compounds lead to the correspondi ng Z-olefins, and cross-coupling with allyl halides in the presence of Pd(Ph3P)(4) results in the formation of cis-4,5-disubstituted 1,4-die nes.
