Abstract
The contradictions in the interpretations of the C-13 NMR spectrum of a natural lanostanoid, abieslactone, and of the H-1 NMR spectrum of it s 9,11-dehydro derivative reported in the literature were resolved by two-dimensional H-1-H-1 and C-13-H-1 (COSY) NMR spectroscopy.
