Abstract
Diazoacetamides react with aldehydes in the presence of catalytic quan tities of Cu(acac)(2) (5 mol%) and tetrahydrothiophene (20 mol%) to gi ve glycidic amides in good yields and high diastereoselectivity. (C) 1 998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
