Abstract
On the one hand the demands are that VT (behavior therapy) is understo od as an application of psychological basic science. On the other hand this to be possible is disputed. With the background of this controve rsy the actual behavior therapeutic developments and results of studie s to control the effects of therapies are evaluated. In view and in fa vour of an obligation of all therapeutical directions it is argued to acknowledge the psychological methodology in order to come to a genera l psychotherapy.
