Abstract
This paper is Part-I of a two-part paper in which a framework for robu st stability assessment of controls in multimachine power systems is p roposed. Variations in the operating conditions are modeled and then i ncorporated into a framework amenable for robust stability analysis. T he Structured Singular Value (SSV) tool is then applied in order to de termine the stability for given variations in the operating conditions .
