Abstract
Electron donors (EDs) according to their different functions in cation ic polymerization systems can be divided and summarized as follows: In itiators, adventitious impurities, aromatic solvents or polar diluents , monomers electron donor (ED) modifiers. Their behaviors and roles in the course of polymerization can be well explained in terms of comple xation competition and equilibrium. In the present paper only initiato rs and ED modifiers are primarily investigated and discussed.
