Abstract
A new model for the structure of gallobicchulite, Ca-8(Ga2SiO6)(4)(OH) (8), has been derived from a combined refinement of EXAFS and neutron powder diffraction data. The structure is based on a pseudocubic order ed unit cell, related to that of tugtupite, with long-range disorder o wing to domains in three orientations parallel to the cubic faces.
