Abstract
Two novel acylated diarylheptanoid glycosides, oregonosides A and B (3 , 4, respectively), were isolated from red alder bark and their struct ures established by spectrometric techniques. The compounds were ident ified as O-(6-O-benzoyl-beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-heptan-3-one and 6-O-va nilloyl-beta-D-glucopyranosyl)-heptan-3-one.
