SPECTRAL STUDIES OF SOME COORDINATION-COMPOUNDS OF TIN(II) WITH BENZOTHIAZOLINES

The present paper describes the synthesis and structural features of s ome tin (II) complexes of some benzothiazolines derived by the condens ation of various heterocyclic aldehydes and ketones viz. pyridine-2-al dehydes, furfuraldehyde, thiophene-2-aldehyde, indole-3-carboxyaldehyd e, 2-Acetylpyridine, 2-Acetylfuran, 2-Acetylthiophene and 2-Acetylnaph thalene with 2-mercaptoaniline. The newly synthesized complexes have b een characterised by elemental analysis, conductance measurements and molecular weight determination. The mode of bonding and geometry of th ese complexes have been suggested on the basis of IR, multinuclear mag netic resonance (H-1, C-13 and Sn-119), Mossbauer and electronic spect ral studies.
