The coordination geometry at the Mg atom in the title complex, [MgBr2{
(C3H7)(2)NH}{(C2H5)(2)O}], is shown to be distorted tetrahedral. The p
resence of a secondary amine ligand is unusual in its derivation from
an amide. It is also unusual to find both an ether and a simple amine
solvating the same magnesium centre [Mg1-N1 2.158(3) and Mg1-O1 2.041
(3) Angstrom].
