Abstract
To predict the spectrum loading effect on crack growth behaviour of co mposite patch repairs, a method is proposed to modify existing crack-c losure models to deal with patched cracks. It is found that the full c rack-closure model would over-estimate the retardation effect, while p redictions based on steady-state closure calculation tend to correlate better with experimental results.
