Abstract
The most important questions related to the origin of adjacency effect s and their influence on the photographic image quality are described. The presented method of computer modelling of these effects allows th e prediction of influence on the shape and properties of the edge curv e in silver halide light-sensitive materials. The results indicate tha t in the case of retardation of development the existing criteria of a cutance of the photographic image should be modified.
