Abstract
The bismuth atom in centrosymmetric tripotassium di(nitrilotriacetato) bismuthate(III) dihydrate displays cubic coordination, the atom being (N + 3O) chelated by the carboxylato group. The crystal structure cons ists of potassium cations that are linked bismuthate anions by carboxy late bridges; hydrogen bonds link the lattice water molecules with the se ions into a three-dimensional network.
