We present archival low- and high-dispersion, as well as new SWP high-
dispersion, IUE data of the ''O vr sequence'' planetary nebula IC 2003
that has not been studied extensively in the UV. Contrary to earlier
UV studies, IC 2003 shows a rich spectrum of stellar and nebular emiss
ion lines. Nearly 60 new emission line fluxes are presented for He II,
C II, C nl, C III, C mi, N mi, N IV], C rv, O III, O mi, O IV], O V,
O VI, O vn, O vm, Si II, Si mi, Si Iv, [Ne IV], [Ne vl, [Mg vl, Al III
, Fe II, and S VI. Electron densities from C mi and N mi diagnostics w
ere determined as log N-e = 3.4 +/- 0.1 and 3.3 +/- 0.1, respectively,
in good agreement with those from optical data. The presence of weak
P Cygni profiles for O v lambda 1371 and for the C rv lambda 1549 doub
let are discussed. Several Fe II Bowen fluorescence lines are detected
in the UV spectrum. Emission lines of O VIII and O VII appear to be p
resent but need confirmation.
