Abstract
In 1995, a CCD camera (ST-6) was attached to the 26-inch Pulkovo refra ctor, with which the systematic observations of binary stars and satel lites of major planets were continued simultaneously with their photog raphic observations. We present the results of our relative-position m easurements for the components of 15 binaries and 36 pairs of Saturn's satellites. The required calibration and methodical studies are condu cted. We conclude that CCDs can be used to advantage in long-focus ast rometry. The measurement accuracy doubled in comparison with the photo graphic method, the resolution limit decreased to 1.''2, and the limit ing magnitude increased by 5 magnitudes.
