Abstract
Data from the 5 large randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled tri als that used glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors during percutaneous tra nsluminal coronary angioplasty were pooled for a total of 10,691 patie nts. We found that the use of glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors in perc utaneous coronary interventions significantly decreases the need for u nplanned stenting for abrupt closure
