Abstract
Phosphorylation of alpha-polyfluoroalkylbenzyl alcohols by an excess o f phenylphosphonic dichloride in the presence of Mg or CaCl2 as the ca talyst gives O-(alpha-polyfluoroalkylbenzyl) phenylphosphonochloridate s (63-79% yield). The reaction proceeds stereoselectively, and the pho sphonochloridates obtained are mixtures of two diastereomers with pred ominance (approximately by 10%) of one of them.
