Abstract
We prove that the homotopy groups of the oriented matroid Grassmannian MacP(k, n) are stahle as n --> infinity, that pi(1)(Delta MacP(k, n)) congruent to pi(1)(G(k, R-n)), and that there is a surjection pi(2)(G (k, R-n)) --> pi(2)(Delta MacP(k, n)).
