H. Topallar et Y. Bayrak, THE EFFECT OF TEMPERATURE ON THE DYNAMIC VISCOSITY OF ACETONE SUNFLOWER-SEED OIL MIXTURES, Turkish journal of chemistry, 22(4), 1998, pp. 361-366
The effect of acetone on the dynamic viscosity of sunflower-seed oil w
as studied under a dynamic heating regime at temeparuters ranging from
25 degrees C to 50 degrees C at 5 degrees C intervals. Acetone dramat
ically reduced the viscosity of sunflower-seed oil. The reduction of v
iscosity was far less with further addition of acetone. A linear relat
ionship was found between the density of sunflower-seed oil and temper
ature. The influence of a solvent on the density of the sunflower-seed
oil/acetone solution can be accounted for by the mixing theory of ide
al solutions, whereas the effect of temperature on the dynamic viscosi
ty of the oil solution is best described by a modified Arrhenius equat
ion.
