In this paper, the secondary plastic working and superplasticity of al
uminium-matrix composites reinforced with SiC particulates have been s
tudied. The results show that the technological method of isothermal h
ot indirect extrusion (IHIE) is simple and effective in improving the
mechanical and superplastic properties of SiCp/2024Al-alloy composites
; being particularly effective with composites produced by the casting
method. When plastic working and superplasticity are considered as an
engineering system, composites with good mechanical and superplastic
