Abstract
The title compound, [Fe-2{Sn(C9H15Si)(2)}(2)], is a new ferrocenophane containing two (Me2SiCH2)(2)SnMe2 bridges. The molecule lies about an inversion center. The intramolecular Si ... Si distances are 7.827(2) and 8.403 (2) Angstrom, and the Sn ... Sn intramolecular separation i s 9.102(1) Angstrom.
