Abstract
The title compound, C12H22O6, is composed of two isopropylidene rings, one with approximate m symmetry and the other with approximate C-2 sy mmetry, joined by an extended backbone. Hydrogen bonds connect the mol ecules into ribbons parallel to the y axis.
