Sv. Kositsyn et al., INCREASE IN THERMAL-STABILITY OF METALLIC MONOLITH SUPPORTS FOR CATALYSTS BY GAS-PHASE CALORIZING, Kinetics and catalysis, 39(5), 1998, pp. 649-654
Gas-phase calorizing processes in vacuum and in an inert gas flow for
metallic monoliths made of thin (50-mu m strip of ferrite steel of the
Kh15Yu5-Kh23Yu5 type) of neutralizers of exhaust gases from transport
were studied. The technology of increasing the thermal stability and
mechanical strength of the metalloblock was developed. The technology
makes it possible to substantially prolong the operating life of the m
onolith, to exclude the expensive process of high-vacuum soldering of
the monolith, and to use a cheaper strip for the preparation of the mo
nolith.
