Abstract
Pummerer-type reaction intermediate 2 of 1-[(2-methylthio)ethanoyl]pyr rolidine (1) has been found to react with 1-alkenes to afford ene addu cts 3. Trichonine 4 was synthesized from the adduct 3g.
