Four lignans and six kauranes, (+)-epi-syringaresinol (I), annocherin
A (16 beta-hydroxy-17,19-diacetoxy-ent-kaurane) (2), (+)-syringaresino
l (3), (+)-dia-syringaresinol (4), liriodendrin[(+)-syringaresinol-di-
O-beta D-glucopyranoside] (5), 16 alpha-hydro-17-acetoxy-ent-kauran-19
-oic acid(6),16 beta-hydro-17-hydroxy-ent-kauran-19-oic(7), 16 alpha-h
ydro-17-hydroxy-ent-kauran-19-al (8), 16 beta-hydro-17-hydroxy-ent-kau
ran-19-oic acid (9) and 16 alpha-hydro-17-hydroxy-ent-kauran-19-oic ac
id (10) were isolated from the stems of Annona cherimola. Among them,
1 is obtained for the first time from natural sources and 2 is a new c
ompound. The structures of these compounds were characterized and iden
tified by spectral analyses.
