Abstract
We present a new method for the determination of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi -Maskawa quark mixing matrix element \V-tb\ from electroweak loop corr ections, in particular those affecting the process Z --> b (b) over ba r. From a combined analysis of results from the CERN LEP, SLC, Fermila b Tevatron, and neutrino scattering experiments we determine \V-tb\ = 0.77(-0.24)(+0.18). [S0556-2821(98)04621-9].
