Abstract
The couplings and decay widths of the processes (1(+),2(+))-->(0(-),1( -))+rho are studied with the light-cone QCD sum rules in the leading o rder of heavy quark effective theory. These processes are employed to estimate the two pion transition widths of the (1(+),2(+)) doublet thr ough the low mass tail of the rho resonance. The ambiguity due to the presence of two distinct 1(+) states is solved. Our calculation shows that the two pion decay widths of the (1(+),2(+)) doublets are much sm aller than the single pion decay widths. However, the B-1,B-2 mesons should also have significant two pion decay widths around 1.5 MeV. [S0 556-2821(98)07621-8].
