SHIFTING R-B WITH A(FB)(B) - ART. NO. 097301

Precision measurements at the Z resonance agree well with the standard model. However, there is still a hint of a discrepancy, not so much i n R-b by itself (which has received a great deal of attention in the p ast several years), but in the forward-backward asymmetry A(FB)(b) tog ether with R-b. The two are of course correlated. We explore the possi bility that these and other effects are due to the mixing of b(L) and b(R) with one or more heavy quarks. [S0556-2821(98)05821-4].
