LEFT-RIGHT ASYMMETRIES IN POLARIZED E-MU SCATTERING - ART. NO. 097505

We consider, in the electroweak standard model context, several left-r ight asymmetries in mu e elastic scattering at fixed target and collid er experiments. For the former case, we show that the muon mass effect s are important in a wide energy range. We also shaw that these asymme tries are sensitive to the electroweak mixing angle theta(W). The effe ct of an extra Z' neutral vector boson appearing in a 3-3-1 model is a lso considered. The capabilities of these asymmetries in the search of this extra Z' are addressed.
