Abstract
Using eddy-current transducers, we have investigated the magnetic char acteristics of three Fe-3% Si alloys of different purities. We have sh own that a small change in the percentage impurity content in the char ge materials substantially changes the frequency dependence of the mag netic characteristics of the alloys. The impurity effect is most appar ent in thin strip specimens annealed after cold rolling with high perc entage reduction.
