DETERMINATION OF WEIGHT RATIOS OF THE COMPONENTS OF A MIXTURE OF ORGANIC LIQUIDS USING A COMPUTER TOMOGRAPH

The authors proposed a non-destructive method of inspecting the long-t erm stability of weight ratios on the components of a mixture of organ ic liquids stored in hermetically sealed containers. The method is bas ed on measuring the linear coefficient of weakening of the mixture by multi-spectral x-ray computer tomography. As an example, a two-compone nt mixture of ethyl alcohol and carbon tetrachloride is examined. The error of the method is evaluated and its application in practice is as sessed.
