Abstract
The autoheterodyning effect (autodyne effect) arising in a continuous single-mode CO2 laser is experimentally investigated. Its measuring ca pacity is analyzed in order to record the backward scattering spectrum from the zone of the effect of radiation on a highly absorbing medium . This technique is used to study the dynamics (with the time resoluti on of 0.2 mcs) of the laser-induced regime of explosive boiling of wat er.
