Abstract
Organic iodides undergo chemospecific alkynylation with triisopropylsi lylacetylenic triflone under photochemical irradiation. Examples inclu de primary, secondary, and tertiary iodides. The reaction is compatibl e with many functional groups, such as alcohol, ester, amide, thiazole , and a potential p-elimination substrate. (C) 1998 Published by Elsev ier Science Ltd.
