Abstract
Starting from p-nitrophenyl-beta-lactoside, two types of neoglycoconju gate carrying either a trisaccharide segment of globotriaosyl ceramide (Gb3) or its regioisomeric Gal alpha 1,3Gal beta 1,4Glc were synthesi zed via a common intermediate. The former polymer carrying the Gb3 tri saccharide showed strong neutralization activity against Shiga-like to xin-I in the assay using human ACHN cells. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science L td.
