Abstract
The affinity of tetrabenzo[a,c,g,i]fluorene for charcoal has been appl ied successfully to provide an alternative to existing solid phase syn thesis methodology. In a synthesis of the quinolone antibacterial, Cip ronoxacin,(R) traditional solution phase synthesis has been coupled wi th efficient pseudo-solid phase purification. (C) 1998 Elsevier Scienc e Ltd.
