Abstract
Although lithium metatitanate was considered as a possible ceramic bre eder material in early reviews (around 1980), most of the world effort focused on other ceramics. Within the last few years, with no clear c onsensus on the other ceramics, it was recognized that Li2TiO3 was an attractive alternative.
