Abstract
A new 'Channeling Stage Model' which enables us to estimate a HETP val ue of a packed distillation column is proposed. An example of separati ve analysis by the present model is given for binary H2O-HTO water dis tillation by the packed column with 3.0 and 6.0 mm phi SUS Dixon rings . The present model can explain well the effect of vapor rate on HETP of a packed column. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved .
