Abstract
Symptomatic peripheral septic embolism is a rare systemic complication of infective endocarditis. This case report describes abdominal pain secondary to a septic pseudoaneurysm in the distal superior mesenteric artery. Presentation, imaging, surgical intervention, and histologic evaluation are described, and a review of recent literature relating t o this phenomenon is outlined.
