Abstract
The new, off line powerful combination of TLC with its simplicity, tan dem mass spectrometry (MS-MS) with its specificity, and digital autora diography (DAR) with its high sensitivity and suitability for quantita tion was used as a fast screening method for separation and structure identification of metabolites of deramciclane (a new anxiolytic compou nd). The preferred ionisation technique for mass spectrometry (MS) whe n combined with TLC is fast-atom bombardment (FAB).
