Ra. Manapov et al., GAMMA-RESONANCE SPECTROSCOPY IN STUDYING OIL-BITUMEN-CONTAINING RESERVOIRS - OPPORTUNITIES AND PERSPECTIVES OF APPLICATION, Neftanoe hozajstvo, (2), 1997, pp. 25-28
There are given the results of application of gamma-rezonance (mossbau
er) spectroscopy for determination of mineral composition and, in part
icular, the content and type of clay minerals in samples of main oil-b
itumen formations of deposits of Tatarstan which are terrigenous (sand
stones alevrolites, their transitional rocks) and carbonate reservoirs
. The cement minerals are shown to make a main contribution to spectra
. In the samples of various genesis, they are syderite, pyrite, and sh
eet silicates of clayey compound part of cement - smectite, illite and
mixedlayer, and thin-dispersion low-crystallised fraction which are d
etermined difficulty by other structure-sensitive methods. The oxidati
on-reduction medium of sedimentation and transformation of formation-r
eservoirs and influence of technogenous factors to clay minerals revea
l themselves in spectra.
