Abstract
A total of 2204 unsmoked handrolled cigarettes were analysed for canna bis resin/cannabis content over the period 1980 to 1996. Of these, 202 5 contained cannabis resin and 179 contained cannabis. The average wei ght of cannabis resin found from the analysis of the 2025 cigarettes w as 102 milligrams. The average weight of cannabis found from the analy sis of the 179 cigarettes was 260 milligrams.
