Abstract
CD4 cells are known to differentiate into functionally distinct Th1 an d Th2 cells, but the exact nature and timing of the differentiation si gnal is not clear. Here, Peter Lane and colleagues discuss the central role for dendritic cells in this process through the interaction of O X40/OX40L, cytokines, and the induction of CD8 cells.
