Abstract
Liquid chromatographic direct resolution of racemic hydroxy allylsilan es as their 3,5-dinitrophenyl carbamates has been shown to be quite su ccessful on a commercial chiral column, (S,S) Whelk-Ol. This technique has been demonstrated to be effective in monitoring the enantiomeric excess of an enantioenriched hydroxy allylsilane prepared from the Lew is acid catalyzed asymmetric reaction.
