al salts. The diazacrown (2) exhibited high Zn2+ enhancement selectivi
ty and in the presence of this cation the host fluorescence intensitie
s were increased by a factor of 43. The guest cation-induced fluoresce
nce recovery of 2 was higher than N,N'-bis(1-naphthylmethyl)-4,13-diaz
a-18-crown-6 (1).
