EPR EVIDENCE OF [RENCL4-NFN](-) (N = 1-3) NITRIDORHENATE(VI) MIXED-LIGAND COMPLEXES

The formation of mixed-ligand complexes of the type [(ReNCl4-nFn)-N-VI ](-) (n = 1 - 3) during the reaction of [(ReNCl4)-N-VI](-) with [n-(C4 H9)(4)N]F, KF, and HF is reported. Evidence of the individual mixed-li gand compounds is given by their EPR spectral data. In frozen solution s a specific dependence of the EPR data on the composition of the coor dination sphere could be detected. This is shown (i) by a nearly linea r dependence of g(parallel to) and A(parallel to)(Re) on the Cl/F-cont ent of the [(ReNCl4-nFn)-N-VI](-) unit (additivity rules) and (ii) by well-resolved F-19 hyperfine splittings.
