ONSET OF MAGNETIC ORDER IN THE CONCENTRATED REGION IN CECU5-XGAX

The particular sensitivity of mu(+)SR on small magnetic moments is use d to monitor the gradual loss in magnetic order from long range antife rromagnetism (CeCu5) to almost pure Kondo behaviour around x = 2. Whil e in CeCu5 an oscillating signal is observed, in the substituted compo unds no evidence for any oscillations is found in the mu(+)SR spectra. On the other hand, distinct transitions to a state with quasistatic e lectronic moments, which are increasingly reduced with rising Ga conce ntration, are detected.
