This paper presents a method for the analysis of chlorophenols in wate
r samples using the solid phase microextraction (SPME) technique and G
C-MS. This method was applied to the analysis of these micro-pollutant
s in the water samples coming from twelve different aqueducts in the R
ieti province and in the water of the river Turano. This method proved
to be fast, reliable and accurate, together with being suited for rou
tine analysis as it eliminates lengthy extraction procedures; as well
as a drastic reduction of solvents use, makes it environmentally frien
dly.
