Within the radioactivity monitoring programme for the Krsko Nuclear Po
wer Plant in addition to gamma spectrometric, H-3 and C-14 analyses, S
r-90 is also determined in about 350 samples a year of surface and gro
und waters, rainwater, soil, vegetables, and crops. In all the samples
the radiostrontium content has been steadily decreasing since the Che
rnobyl accident. In our ten year surveillance no enhanced strontium du
e to the operation of the plant has been observed.
